Default Guild Wars needs these things:

now i know there are certain "goals" the creators had in mind for guild wars. i feel that some of them are not very good.

for one, there needs to be a huge and expansive amount of items. im talking like diablo 2 was. half of the fun in diablo 2 was item finding and trading. i want to have sweet and powerful equipment. there should be rare, and even unique items, much like diablo 2. yes, i know, guild wars is striving to be different.

for two, the whole crafting system seems weak. items are only slightly modified...borrrrring. in diablo 2, crafting actually gave items a sweet ass set of attributes that proved extremely useful.

the argument is that more items and more powerful characters that deal more damage would be proportionate to the life and strength of the monsters. for example, a character dealing 5 damage to a 20hp monster would be the same as a character dealing 50 damage to a 200 hp. well, once again, in diablo, the life of the monster was increased exponentially, rather than by the same percentage. also, monsters had a percentage of resistance/immunity to certain types of damage, which made them extremely difficult to kill in higher levels of the game.

the story of guild wars is very compelling, and questing has been fun so far with 4 people, but the 8 player missions would be pretty sweet right about now...or even some 16 player missions. im going to beat this into the ground, but as in diablo, the more members of the party, the higher the enemy strength. i dont even want to have a party necessarily to be able to take down a monster, but just to be running through quests with a bunch of friends would be fun.

i mean come on, these people helped design diablo.

I agree, there doesn't seem to be enough items in the game and the crafting system is very very weak. I do however like the story and questing with friends. The PVP is nice as well.

the pvp is quite sweet.

also, i forgot to mention...the whole thing with reserving drops for specific players is cool, but its kinda useless considering the lack of diversity and rarity in most of the items. for example, in diablo 2 (this is one of my most favorite games, obviously) doing huge monster runs and then getting a super rare rune or unique drop would be sweet...until some **** who did no work swoops in and takes it. lost a grandfather, a few zod runes, etc. that way. great idea on the GW development staff's part though.
